Old Fort Delhi

Purana Qila also called Old Fort Delhi is one of the top holiday and top destinations in Delhi. It is also one of the oldest forts in Delhi. It was built by Sur Empire, Sher Shah Suri who was the founder of Sur Empire.

All walls of the Purana Quila rise to a height of 18 meters and spread over 1.5 kilometers in the fort. Purana Quila has three entrances which are main, the Bada Darwaza, The South Gate and the Talaqi Gate. the Bada Darwaza faces west and is used as the entrance to the fort nowadays too. The South Gate was known as Humayun Gate and Talaqi Gate was the third gate of the fort. Old Fort is the best place to Mini Picnic for students and tourists. Boating facility is also available in the fort. It is in top monuments in Delhi and in the list of other top holiday destinations of Delhi and India like Red fort Delhi, Lotus Temple Delhi etc.
